I am such a foodie, but limited to healthy, wholesome, unadulterated food that I could truly enjoy eating. I have so much enjoyed reading lots of information on the Paleo eating plan (I don' like using he expression diet”). Specifically the Paleo Plan Food Guide. To my amazement, I have found no reference to canola engine oil. And in every the 488 feedback, nobody has inquired about canola engine oil. I would very much like your judgment about consumption of this product in general, and specifically as it pertains to the Paleo diet program. Many thanks!
Fish, meat, seed products, nut products, greens, eggs, berries and vegetables are on the menu. Anything refined, gathered or man-made is out. Sugar counts as a refined, highly refined food, so all sweets and anything sweetened has gone out. Fruit, which also has a high sweets content, is paleo, but as sugar levels are high, limit helpings if you want to lose weight.
There are far more drinks that are not allowed on the Paleo Diet, including anything with added glucose. Dr. Cordain notes that ancient humans didn't eat added sugar, so soda and energy drinks aren't permitted. Even diet soda is off boundaries because it doesn't supply essential nutrients, even if it generally does not contain any added sugars. Fruit juice is a tricky drink. One hundred percent fruit juice doesn't contain any added sugars, but it's also stripped of the fiber content that whole berries materials. Dr. Cordain suggests eating berries in its complete form and limiting juice to an occasional glass.
